The Mesabi East Giants Squirts earned 2nd place at the Twig Outdoor Tournament and took 1st place in the hot dog eating competition earning the 2026 Top Dog Award by putting down 60 hot dogs.

The Mesabi East Giants Squirt team earned 1st place at the Ely Squirt Howler Tournament with an impressive 12–5 win over Blaine in the finals.

The Mesabi East Mini Mites had the opportunity on Hockey Day MN to play in a Pre-Game Little Chippers match-up at the AMSOIL arena during the UMD Bulldogs game versus Western Michigan University.
